Scout: Generative AI to boost the performance of retailers and e-commerce businesses

Orisha Commerce, a business unit of the leading European business software group, today announced the rollout of Scout, its cross-functional artificial intelligence solution. Designed to integrate natively with the everyday tools of retail and e-commerce professionals, this technology aims to support these players and help them make better and faster decisions in a complex economic environment.

Scout, the AI companion for professionals

The use of generative AI in business processes reduces the time spent on administrative and repetitive tasks by an average of 40%. Designed as an ‘AI companion’ integrated into all of the group’s software, Scout is based on a central AI API developed by Orisha’s AI Lab. It unifies the user experience across all of the group’s verticals while respecting the specificities of each business line.

AI rooted in the reality of commerce

At a time when AI is generating as much fantasy as it is expectation, Orisha has chosen to focus on operational aspects with Scout. Far from being a simple technological overlay, Scout was designed as a concrete, useful and controlled AI. It directly addresses the productivity challenges faced by retailers by automating repetitive and administrative tasks, freeing up time for sales and customer relations.

The integration of Scout transforms the user experience through immediate use cases. In the form of an intelligent chatbot, it becomes a true business assistant capable of instantly responding to our users’ questions and facilitating access to information without ever leaving the application. This chatbot is available in a classic format in our software, but also in a voice agent format.

Ultimately, these innovations aim to increase responsiveness and customer support satisfaction by 50% through instant, contextualised responses available 24/7. In terms of data processing, Scout’s assistance also enables professionals to reduce the risk of human error related to manual data entry or compliance oversights by up to 80%, thereby securing critical business flows.

Beyond conversational assistance, Scout acts as a strategic lever thanks to AI-enhanced statistics. Integrated into Orisha’s sports retail rental management software, these features analyse data in depth to help managers anticipate trends, refine their management and secure their decisions for years to come.

This approach is also reflected in powerful features integrated into the core of the Commerce division’s flagship solutions:

  • In Openbravo PIM, Scout’s product information management solution automates the creation of product names, descriptions and SEO content, freeing up teams for strategic tasks. AI also provides instant translation of content into all configured languages, eliminating external translation costs while ensuring consistent tone and increased visibility on search engines.
  • With Tweakwise, the AI-powered Search & Discovery suite dedicated to e-commerce, Scout deploys AI Vector Search capable of understanding the intent and context of a query (e.g., ‘gift for a coffee lover’) far beyond simple keywords. It automatically manages synonyms to avoid pages with no results and dynamically personalises product sorting based on visitor behaviour, while respecting the brand’s commercial and merchandising rules.

We firmly believe that technology should never replace experts, but rather elevate them. Scout proves that powerful AI can be synonymous with proximity: it gives teams back their most valuable assets, time and creativity, so they can focus on what is essential in commerce: customer relations and emotion.

An AI strategy serving business uses and everyday technology

The launch of Scout marks a milestone in Orisha’s European growth strategy and the roll-out of its AI plan. Orisha invests 25% of its revenue in R&D, most of which goes into artificial intelligence and data. In 2025, these investments amounted to nearly €90 million.

Orisha has also developed a centralised AI Task Force and is investing in the recruitment and upskilling of a team of nearly 150 experts in data science, ML engineering and prompt engineering.

By adopting a single name for all of its artificial intelligence tools, deployed across its entire portfolio, Orisha is making its offering more transparent and clearly differentiating itself in a still fragmented market.
